Penguin: Do three requirements including the two starred *
_____1.* Talk about Internet safety rules with your parent or guardian. Make sure that anytime you are on the Internet that you obey the rules your parent or guardian has set up. Safety rules should include things such as where and when you may log onto the Internet; never giving out personal information such as your name, address, or phone number without permission; telling a parent or other adult if you receive mean or other emails that make you uncomfortable; tell an adult if you come across any information or websites that make you uncomfortable; and not opening websites whose description does not match what you were searching for.
_____2.* Talk to your troop leader, another Frontier Girl, or a friend about their family safety rules for internet use.
Otter: Do four requirements including the two starred *
_____1.* Do Penguin requirements 1 & 2.
_____2.* Learn the importance of the internet safety pledge and memorize it:
"I will tell my trusted adult if anything makes me feel sad, scared, or confused. I will ask my trusted adult before sharing information like my name, address, and phone number. I won't meet face-to-face with anyone from the Internet. I will always use good netiquette and not be rude or mean online."
Dolphin: Do five requirements including the two starred *

_____2.* What is cyber-bullying and how can we prevent it or make others more aware of it?
Butterfly: Do six requirements including the two starred *
_____1.* Do Dolphin requirements 1 & 2.
_____2.* Learn the history of the internet and social media. How has it evolved over the years?
Eagle: Do seven requirements including the two starred *
_____1.* Do Butterfly requirements 1 & 2.
_____2.* What is an online predator? Identify the safety rules for chatting with others online. Make sure to NEVER talk with someone you don't know face-to-face online.
Owl: Do nine requirements including the two starred *
_____1.* Do Eagle requirements 1 & 2.
_____2.* Teach someone how to do a skill from this badge or teach some knowledge about this badge to someone. You can teach kids, your spouse, seniors, anyone, just as long as you are sharing your new found knowledge. If for some reason you cannot teach what you have learned to someone else, you may choose an additional 2 optional requirements instead.
_____3. Learn what a safety search engine in and why it is important.
_____4. What is spam and how is a safe way to proceed when you encounter it?
_____5. Talk with you parents and decide on an appropriate time-limit for internet use each day.
_____6. Earn the Internet Badge at your level.
_____7. Many teens and children have access to the internet right at their fingertips with the use of smartphones. Discuss with a parent or guardian safety guidelines for smartphone internet use.
_____8. Research appropriate online chat-rooms, and how to take precautions before entering them.
_____9. How can you make sure your personal information is protected when you enter it online? What is the importance of passwords, pin numbers, usernames, etc?
_____10. (Eagle-Owl only) Learn the risks of online dating and what safety precautions you should take before considering it.
