(You may use any higher level requirement as an optional requirement as well as those listed at the end of the badge.)

 

 

Penguin:† Do three requirements including the two starred.

_____ 1.*† Know the name of your leader and all regular parent helpers or volunteers.† Know the names of all the other girls in your troop.

_____ 2.*† Have a complete uniform and make sure that all patches, ribbons, pins, and tabs are in the appropriate locations.

 

 

Otter:† Do four requirements including the two starred.

_____ 1.*†† Do Penguin requirements 1 & 2.

_____ 2.*†† Know the different levels of Frontier Girls and how to tell which level each girl in your troop is at by looking at their uniforms. Memorize the Frontier Girls promise.

 

 

Dolphin:† Do five requirements including the two starred.

_____ 1.*† Do Otter requirements 1 & 2.

_____ 2.*† Know what leadership positions are available in your troop.† Who serves in each role and what are their responsibilities?

 

 

Butterfly:† Do 6 requirements including the two starred.

_____ 1.*† Do Dolphin requirements 1 & 2.

_____ 2.*† Know all of the higher awards that are available to the members of your troop and what their requirements are.

 

 

Eagle:† Do 7 requirements including the two starred.

_____ 1.*† Do Butterfly requirements 1 & 2.

_____ 2.*†† Help the leaders in your troop by either leading some songs, games, or activities for the other members of your troop.

 

 

Owls:† Do 9 requirements including the two starred.

_____ 1. *† Do Eagle requirements 1 & 2

_____ 2. *† Teach someone how to do a skill from this badge or teach some knowledge about this badge to someone. ††You can teach kids, your spouse, seniors, anyone, just as long as you are sharing your new found knowledge.†† If for some reason you cannot teach what you have learned to someone else, you may choose an additional 2 optional requirements instead.

 

 

Optional requirements:

_____3.† Know how many community service projects your troop is supposed to participate in each year and why.† Participate in each service project your troop chooses to do.

_____4.† Play ďBet Ya Didnít KnowĒ.† Each member of the troop starts a sentence with the words, bet ya didnít know, and then completes the sentence with something about themselves that they donít think anyone else in the group knows about them.† For example, Bet ya didnít know that I love guacamole, but hate avocados;† bet ya didnít know† I used to live in Florida; bet ya didnít know that I collect model horses, etc.

_____5. Create a troop scrapbook.

_____6.† Write a troop song or chant.

_____7.† Come up with a unique troop greeting.

_____8. Help to plan or decorate for a troop ceremony.

_____9.† Know who founded Frontier Girls and when.† Know the year your troop was founded and by whom.

_____10.† Create a troop quilt with one square representing each girl in the troop.

_____11.† Create a troop banner or flag for parades and events.

_____12.† Participate in a troop campout.

_____13. Memorize the Frontier Girls Creed.

_____14.† Make a list of every place in† your community that your troop could go to have fun, do new activities, take field trips, or do community service.

_____15. Make an exhibit that tells people about your troop.

_____16.† Earn the Teamwork badge.

_____17.† Help the leaders in your troop by either leading some songs, games, or activities for the other members of your troop. (Eagles and Owls only)
