Penguin:Â Do three requirements including the one starred and two optional.

_____ 2.*Â Identify the vets in your family, and do something to recognize their service.Â If you have no vets in your family ask your friends if they have any in theirs.
Dolphin:Â Do five requirements including the two starred and three optional.

_____ 2.* Do something to honor a veteran(s) in your communityÂ Learn the difference between Memorial Day and Veteran's Day.
Butterfly:Â Do six requirements including the two starred and four optional.

_____ 2.* Â Interview a veteran or have one come to speak at your troop meeting about their experience.
Eagle:Â Do seven requirements including the two starred and five optional.
_____ 1.* Do Butterfly requirements 1 & 2
_____ 2.*Â Learn about how veterans have been treated once they return home.Â Compare the treatment of veterans from the Viet Nam war with those of WWII.Â Discuss the changing attitudes of America toward vets based on the political climate of the times.
Owl:Â Do nine requirements including the two starred and seven optional.

_____ 2. *Â Teach someone how to do a skill from this badge or teach some knowledge about this badge to someone. Â Â You can teach kids, your spouse, seniors, anyone, just as long as you are sharing your new found knowledge.Â Â If for some reason you cannot teach what you have learned to someone else, you may choose an additional 2 optional requirements instead.
_____ 3.Â Attend a Veteran's Day service/ceremony
_____ 4.Â Earn a war badge ( WWI, Â WWII, Korea, Vietnam, etc.)
_____ 5.Â Do a community service project for VFW, American Legion, or similar veterans organization.
_____ 6.Â Help pass out poppies (does not count for #5).
_____ 7.Â Write an essay about veterans and why they have earned our respect.
_____ 8.Â Put together a scrapbook, shadow box, etc. to honor a vet.
_____ 9.Â Visit a veteran's cemetery and help beautify by removing trash, planting flowers, posting flags, etc.Â (make sure to get permission from the cemetery management first.)
_____ 10.Â Earn a Military Services Branch badge.
_____ 11.Â Visit a veteran's memorial or monument.
_____ 12.Â Earn the Honor badge.
